Our Story
CueRestora™ emerged from over a decade of heartfelt dedication to restorative justice by the committed team at CircleUp Education. Founded over 10 years ago, CircleUp Education began with a powerful mission: creating thriving, peaceful communities rooted in respect, harmony, and equity. As the world around us changed, we evolved too, recognizing the need to address the deeper, underlying causes of conflict and disconnection that initially drew us to restorative justice.
Through thousands of interactions, heartfelt conversations, and courageous reflections, we discovered that traditional, rigid, evidence-based restorative justice approaches often fell short. These approaches, although well-intentioned, were frequently developed under conditions that did not reflect the reality of the diverse communities and schools we served, especially across the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California.
We listened deeply—to students, educators, families, and community leaders—and learned from the trials, errors, successes, and authentic experiences of more than half a million individuals who engaged with our services. We faced challenging questions head-on: What if funding for restorative justice wasn't available? How could small organizations, schools, and community groups have meaningful conversations about sensitive topics without costly, inflexible programs? How could we build something practical, flexible, yet profoundly transformative?
Our response was to courageously depart from one-size-fits-all methodologies. Instead, we set out to create something revolutionary: an adaptable, innovative restorative justice framework grounded in real-world experience. And so, CueRestora™ was born.

We strive to replace hate with empathy, division with compassion, and misunderstanding with deep, lasting bonds. Through advanced e-learning, interactive virtual sessions, and dynamic in-person experiences, we craft solutions tailored specifically to the evolving needs of today’s diverse and complex communities.
